A striking mid-19th-century centre table featuring a richly figured tiger maple circular top raised on a substantial baluster-turned central pedestal and three boldly shaped radial supports. The sculptural form displays strong Late Classical and Empire-derived influence, interpreted through the robust traditions of provincial Canadian cabinetmaking.
